The first born child of King Georgve VIII and was heir to the throne before her untimely death. Age: 25
Princess Katherine
Katherine Elizabeth Victoria Alexandria. (Mountbatten-Windsor)
- Her Royal Higness Princess Katherine of Wales
- Crown Princess Katherine (via the public)
Katherine was born on a bitterly cold night in St. Mary’s Hospital, kicking and screaming as her mother, Queen Camila lost her life in order to birth the Princess. Her father, the King, was called and informed that the Queen has died but the Princess was born healthy and strong. King George rushed to the hospital to see his first child, along with his mother, the former Queen Mary. George was beyond grateful that Katherine survived and felt horrible that Camila lost her life. Nevertheless, not even a year later, he remarried to a woman named Meira Wexler.
Growing up, Katherine always found more pleasure in being inside for lessons and schooling, preferring the smell of old literature books and writing and honing her skill at painting. Though one thing George did discover early on was Katherine’s natural air of optimism that surrounds his daughter. She was mainly raised by a handful of nannies until she was thirteen, at which point she personally asked her father if she could only have two, Margaret and Elizabeth.
Despite her mother’s death, Katherine managed to bounce back with a smile on her lips due to her positive outlook on life. She wanted to be happy and so she did everything to be happy.
One of the things that made her smile the most was her half-brother, Henry. She was patient with him as much as he was reluctant to approach her. Katherine knew it was the Queen, but she continued to pursue Henry and when she broke the surface, she was met with warmth and utter love from her brother. To Katherine, Henry is special. Henry is hers and hers alone. The only person she can truly say she’s loved her entire life. She found it ironic, she is a Princess, she is royalty and she could have almost anything she wanted in the world, but all she wanted was her brother and nothing more. A part of her wished that they were strangers instead, but Katherine, even though she knew it was wrong, would rather suffer an eternity of solitude than growing up without Henry by her side.
Their grandmother saw through the relationship the older they grew together. From their tiny hands holding across the hallways of the palace to stealing kisses from each other, it was a small secret that could threaten and shake the entire core of the Royal family. Katherine was happy with Henry as he was with her. He grew to love the sister he avoided so much growing up, she knew he couldn’t live without her as much as she couldn’t without him. They’re bound by something powerful, electrifyingly terrible that they can’t help but want it more and more. They both knew it was wrong, but they closed their eyes and kissed one another goodnight every midnight, as they locked themselves in a world of their own. Katherine was Henry’s and he was hers entirely.
Nevertheless, they had to keep appearances and neither could steal kisses nor clutch one another tightly in public. Princess Katherine remained the most eligible bachelorette and sought out royalty in the history of Royals. Every single man in Britain worshipped her, young and old, they held the Princess of Wales in such high regard that she was often referred to as a ‘being of another world’ or a ‘goddess’. Katherine held everyone’s attention and love, they knew she would make the country even better when she inherits the throne from the King. Katherine would make a great Queen, perhaps “the greatest” as the newspaper would say. That was until she was involved in an accident in Paris, “killing her instantly.”
Her father’s death may have been a shock, but Katherine’s death made Britain crumble on its knees. She was the hope, the beacon and symbol of a new Britain to many people but now she was gone. Men and women from all ages visited the Palace to offer their condolences to the Royal family, and in that short moment of time, Britain came together to mourn what they’ve all lost.
But, one man can change the entirety of what was believed to be the reality. Agent Woodson disobeyed what he was tasked to do. His superior’s command was that he needed to make sure Katherine stayed dead, but he didn’t. He got her the help she needed through his own personal connections, leading him into the arms of Olivia Pope, the notorious journalist who runs an organisation named Daily Coronatus. Olivia was the key to Princess Katherine’s survival. Woodson fed her the information that it was “Queen Meira who ordered Katherine’s death”.
“The country loves her and I do too. She’s the rightful Queen that should be sitting on that throne, not Meira. But, I can’t help any longer. They have Remy and once they find out I’m doing something under their noses, they’ll kill him.”
Olivia saw the challenge and accepted it wholeheartedly. She took Katherine in her care while tasking Reagan to handle the business and take on the order to instigate controversies around the Royal family.
It took a long while for Katherine to recover from her injuries, but once she did she was introduced to Olivia Pope who promised her that she will take down the person who was responsible for her father’s death and her accident.
“She’ll pay for what she did, but are you ready to take back what rightfully belongs to you?”
“I will. I’ll take all of it back and leave her with nothing.”
