Katsumi Naishinnō (勝美内親王)

Princess Eleanor is the daughter of Princess Mary and Prince Hideo. She is also the cousin of King Henry IX and Princess Katherine of Wales. She’s the complete opposite of her brothers, she’s extremely docile and graceful. Eleanor is every Royal parent’s dream for a child and grew up highly intelligent. She’s keen on learning new things, always wanting to be informed before tackling an event or obstacle. Out of all the Royal children, she knows the most language, totalling of seven. Her fluency in all those languages allows her to communicate with different kinds of people, learning about their principles and immersing herself in their culture. However, Eleanor suffers from an extreme case of major depressive disorder and she has had many suicidal attempts (all of which was covered by the Royal family). Eleanor, as much as she loves her family, absolutely loathes being a Royal. She hates that she cannot have the opportunity to work like normal people can, she envies the life of not being in the spotlight and constantly followed by the press for every little thing she does. She strives for perfection and she detests failure and this fear of failure often causes her deep stress. 

 

Eleanor has always been considered a bit of a mother hen and can tend to be a bit bossy; when she sees something being done incorrectly she will not be quiet about it and tell whoever it is that they should be doing it another way. She likes to make sure her brothers are in perfect order, which would go much smoother if her youngest brother, James, could keep out of the mud and attracting too much attention to himself.

 

Her humor can be described as dry, many times being sarcastic and teasing towards even those she cares for, though she has her silly moments and can be quite expressive with her face and body language when she feels the urge to be. But even though she likes to be humorous at times, she knows when it is acceptable and when it is not, choosing to think and listen before speaking in front of company she does not fully know or trust.

 

Out of her cousins, she knows Henry understands her the most, they’ve always bonded over their shared hatred of being born a Royal. Eleanor wanted to be a working member of society while Henry wanted to be free, it’s two different paths but all ends the same: down with Royalty.
